Arthritis New Zealand is the national voluntary organisation, which represents the interests of those with arthritis. They have a number of services including free clinics, seminars, workshops, support groups and special events happening all over the country.
The Stroke Foundation provides information and support to people with a stroke, their family/whanau and caregivers. The network of Field Officers and stroke support clubs assist the stroke-affected community. They also provide information through literature, videos and our 0800 78 76 53 (0800 STROKE) helpline to the general public.
ACC is active in promoting injury prevention at home, in the workplace and during sports. Also offer advice on rehabilitation so you can get back to work in a timely fashion. www.acc.co.nz/preventing-injuries/index.htm
The New Zealand Continence Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with bowel and bladder incontinence. The New Zealand Continence Association provides professional and public education and promotes research into incontinence and related problems to improve genitourinary health. They also have a helpline on 0800 650 659. |
